Noticeably Different. Skinny Man. Comparisons.

My wife and I took the day off and went to our old college to visit some friends and to take care of some things. It was an expected trip -- but earlier than we had thought. It was nice to have the day off and go see some friends. We walked around campus and I saw a few people that I knew and each time received something different related to my appearance. . It was really cool - but can also get really weird. From my close friends saying "skinny man" - it was pretty expected that they would notice, but when it's from an old acquaintance that says...you look "noticeably different"; I wasn't sure quite what to say to that. I said thanks!

It's been a very long day with over 5 hours of driving, a meal with Carol's brother at a mexican restaurant, and another late night workout (to be done following post).

I thought I'd leave you with what 56 pounds off of me looks like from a head shot.

What is the Greatest Compliment that you have Received?!

People are always calling me skinny minny and tiny and all of those things- I'm really not but I guess compared to what I was it's a huge difference.

You look fantastic. I'm so jealous of your onederland.

Wow! Yes you do look noticeably different! You look great.

I think the biggest compliment was after I had lost about 40 lbs. One day after my husband had seen me up on a stage he said "Babe, you really DO look good."

Cause i always ask him if I look good and he robotically answers "yes" but this time HE noticed. after 40 pounds mind you. hahahaha

Whoa dude, you look totally different! I can see a difference in my face but my body is a little harder for me to notice.

The greatest compliment was the first time my husband hugged me and said "I can grab my wrists when I put my arms around you"

Awwwwwwww.

Awesome photos man, you can see a HUGE difference. We've lost right about the same amount of weight at this point - I need to get around to posting some more progress photos myself. Keep up the great work!

I haven't gotten a ton of complements yet but I haven't crossed the "not fat" threshold yet.

I did have one of my coworkers who weighs about as much as her clothes I'd imagine notice I'd lost a bunch of weight. That felt good.

And you do look excellent. Well done!

Ummm, greatest compliment I have received? I honestly don't know. I get a lot, LMAO!

Keep up the good work, you are a real inspiration. x

Yesterday, a work friends wife, who I see a couple time a year, saw me at Krogers and immediately said how handsome I was and gave me a big hug, that was pretty cool. But another woman I don't know well, but who I see at my gym and she knew me before then only as a member of an organization, but we never spoke-- said "Amazing. Your Amazing, I remember what you were" That was the best.

WOW. Huge difference. :)

The greatest compliment I ever received was when my trainer told me: "You are the strongest woman I have EVER trained."

Seth, you ARE doing awesome! Your face is amazingly thinner. My best compliment was when my wife said that she didn't like it now that I'm in better shape than her. I'm not, but it was still nice of her to say.

What an improvment! Look at you go!!!

Getting compliments about your personal appearance can be great but it is also just that - personal.
Sounds like you are in a good place about taking it in stride!
Fantastic job.

First, you look amazing! Very handsome.
Second, compliments are so hard to receive for many people. They make me feel embarrassed and down play all my hard work.
Third, I know in the next few months, I will start to look noticeably different. When, and I will;), I get compliments I am going to say something like. "Thanks, I have bee working really hard."

Keep up the great job! I hope you are very proud of what you accomplished.

You do look "noticeably different." I bet it was a little awkward. You know I've recently received similar comments but some make you just feel bad. I had an aquaintence who I haven't seen in over a year say "wow, you've lost weight. Your face looks more radiant, less bloated." Is that really a compliment? All we can say is "thank you" and leave it at that...

You look great, really.

LOL. I love the "noticeably different." I think I would just laugh and say thanks. Or something. That is pretty random haha.

It's always nice to have people visually recognize :) You do look incredibly different though. I love how face comparisons show so much.

Nice work Seth!

You do look really skinny in that picture. I'm impressed. Keep up the good work. When I'm there this summer we will definitely have to run together. Find us a 5k or something. Or one of those duathlon, but of course then I would have to have a bike.

LOL, what I hate worse is when people say nothing, it's like, hey, I dropped a bazillion pounds notice anything different? maybe a girl thing. The greatest compliment I have received is when someone told me I inspire them.

You can really see the weight loss. You look great! :)

Your pictures are always very inspiring. You are looking good!

One great compliment I received was yesterday a guy at my gym told me that he noticed I lost weight, he asked me how I was doing it, I told him, and he said that I motivate him!

Definitely a noticeable difference!! Your hard work is paying of Mister!

I can't wait till I get to the point where I'm able to notice a difference. Tomorrow's National Fitness Day & also my "before" pictures...scary. But I know it's important so that I can look back & see what I've accomplished! Yikes! Also...you have some GREAT links on here. & congrats...I'd take "skinny man" as a complete compliment...but I'd also have some sort of witty come back. =)
