Inspiring wife.
My wife has tried before with sticking with a weight loss/fitness plan, but like many of us have done – we exited that strategy when we didn’t see instant results. My wife is becoming successful and is sticking to it with me this time. It’s great to have that by the way. Someone asked her what she was doing with food. She gave a reply to that person and I wanted to post it up on here too.
“Thanks Megan! I have been eating about 6 small meals a day. breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and maybe a snack if I'm hungry later. My snacks are either an apple or a banana. My regular meals are smaller portions than I used to have. I don't get seconds. And I allow myself one sugar snack a day so I don't feel deprived and binge. So mostly it’s portion control & keeping my metabolism up. Other than that I make sure I workout to either my Jillian DVD or I do yoga with Seth on his P90X. And If I don't feel like it was enough I walk a mile on the treadmill. I feel more comfortable with the 1 to 2 pound loss a week. I would get discouraged if it was up one week and down the next you know? Haha. This may have been more than you asked for but there it is! Nothing fancy :)”
I really liked this reply because it is simple, doable, and it works. My wife is inspiring and helping other people on their route to weight loss success too! I love it. I do.
Make-Over Pics.
I really enjoy “Make-Over” week on the Biggest Loser. After seeing tonight's episode, I felt inspired to give myself a makeover as well. I had fun with it. By the way, I couldn’t believe that Sam reached his goal weight on campus with a couple weeks still yet to go on the campus. Crazy. Enjoy the pics. Yes, that is the same shirt that I wore in a pic the other day. I like it, I feel good in it, it works for me.
I normally end with a question for you – but not today. I want you to do your own make-over.
go crazy!
go crazy!
You may ask why? The answer is because you deserve to see how far you have come! You are worth every bit of the hard work that you are putting into bettering yourself…and I want you to show everyone your hard work. Let’s see it.
Be sure to come back and let us know where to go to see your makeover pics!!!

I've been making myself over each day...each day just a bit better.
Yesterday...was my first experience Rock Climbing. Today was..um..today was....recovering from Rock Climbing.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
This was an awesome post, as usual! I LOVE makeover week as well. I couldn't believe that about Sam either. Sunshine looked absolutely gorgeous and Daris looked like a different person! It was so fun watching them and now seeing your makeover as well! You look kick ass...I guess I can only describe the pictures with one word...SWAGGER :) I'll be sure to post makeover pictures by the end of the week and I'll let you know when they're up. P.s. I don't know if you saw on twitter but I have something for you on my blog :) Great post! Keep it up!
Looking great Seth! I've never seen you so skiny :) It's been fun following your progress, Great work!!
I started the makeover thing a month or two ago....or five...good brother...time does fly.
I started when I got some nice clothes from Jennifer ( a friend of a friend).
It does feel good.
You look nice.
Great outfit.
ow ow! nice!
You look great!!!! I love the makeover idea...I definitely will participate. Does your wife have a blog also?
Looking good!!
I'll try to do a makeover pic and will post it to my blog in a few days. Don't check tomorrow though, I'm posting a "before" picture then. ;)
You're looking awesome Seth, keep up the fabulous work!
You and your wife are doing incredibly well and it is so nice you're doing it together.
I love make-over week, too. Everyone cleaned up pretty well.
You do too! :)
I love this idea! I think it's incredibly awesome that you and your wife are doing this together. :)
Great post! You and your wife are an inspiration to us all. Thank you. :o)
Nice makeover pics!
I love your wife's approach to food. Simple. Logical.
Your wife is one smart lady. I have to learn to be happy with the 1-2 lb weight loss every week. Instead of the lose 5 lbs gain 2 lbs yo-yo that I seem to do.
Makeover for you.....you look great!!
You are looking good!! I think that is awesome that your wife is doing it with you! It is always easier when you have someone to support you! Love the makeover idea. I think I might have to do that this weekend. Thanks!
Ooooh makeover - great idea. Especially after the awful pics of me on todays blog lol! I'm going to do it, but I'm going to wait until the end of my summer challenge, how about that? I promise I won't forget and I'll be back to get you.
You look mahvelous!
Wow! You can definately see the difference. Its so great to continuously read how things are going for you guys. AWESOME! Keep up the good work.
I have a very small Camelbak, and it is perfect. I wear it tight so that it doesn't rub or bounce around. Typically, in the afternoons I will run 4 to 6 miles. As far as distance goes, if I am trying to wrack up miles, I will do a morning run and an afternoon run. The afternoon runs are when I take the Camelbak. I have tried hand held water bottles, but I can't stand carrying something!
The Biggest Loser finale was playing while I was on the spin bike last night...kind of GREAT motivation!
Carol is doing SO well...it's such an inspiration to see you both work so hard & get great results! I can't wait to see week 1's results on my little journey too! You're doing great & a makeover is such a great treat!
I haven't gotten very far on my journey, but I have started wearing makeup more regularly (that's a good thing). It makes me look a little more professional and I feel a bit better about myself. I'm looking forward to the day I can buy smaller clothes. Working for that!
I like the trim of your beard - slimming!
Best post make over yet. Looking great.
OMG super hot!!! Wow...
Very cool :)
Great pics, and yay for your wife! A makeover? yes, I could use one. Might have to work on that.
I love that you two are sticking with this together! I'm sure that helps tremendously. I've been reading her blog for a while and she definitely inspired me....Good job Seth.
Great post. Watching TBL the other night made me stop and think....I really need to give myself a makeover, too. After reading your post, I think I need to go ahead and do it for myself. I've lost 88 pounds....but, I'm still wearing the EXACT same pants and they're beginning to fall off. I think it's past time!
Thank you!!
You're
We can all see the confidence showing through with this post! I like the makeover pics! Lots of character, and I hope to be taking my own soon enough.
